Today I’m re-posting my latest you tube clip in honor of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 84th Birthday. I did post it on his 81st Birthday and would you believe it’s been going around all that time? As many will know I qualified as a Laughter Yoga Leader in 2014 and have been running sessions up and down the country. So what is Laughter Yoga? Well it was born in India Mumbai back in 1995 by a medical doctor Madan Kataria. Dr Kataria wanted to look at the connection between joyfulness & good health. After a lot of research and practical work he came up with Laughter Yoga Clubs. I’m not going to talk too much about Dr Kataria’s work but you can find out more on the link below http://laughteryogasalonnyc.com/drkataria.html For now enjoy my video, join in have a good laugh and celebrate life!
Laughter Yoga started in 1995 in a Mumbai park in India, when a medical doctor – Dr Madan Kataria became interested in the power of laughter in curing illness. It started with just 5 willing participants but there are now over 1000 laughter clubs across the world. http://laughteryoga.org
Evidence has shown, that making yourself laugh provides the same physiological and psychological benefits as real laughter because “the mind does not know we’re faking it.” Laughter yoga sessions generally start with gentle warm-up techniques which include stretching, chanting, clapping, eye contact and subtle body movement to break down inhibitions and encourage childlike playfulness – something we adults don’t have enough of in my professional view. Breathing exercises are also used to prepare the lungs for laughter,
Laughing is brilliant way to strengthen our immune system, completely reverse the symptoms of depression & anxiety alongside many other health benefits. How does this happen? By bringing more oxygen to the body and brain, which in turn, enhances positive feelings and improves interpersonal skills. Just 15 minutes a day of real belly laughter is proven to be the equivalent of 100 sit ups in the gym – it’s perfectly natural, has exactly the
Ever heard of Transhumanism? Me neither until today when I switched on the radio to hear the most jawdropping conversation.
Transhumanism:- The belief or theory that the human race can evolve beyond its current physical and mental limitations, especially by means of science and technology.
According to American transhumanist, journalist, entrepreneur and futurist Zoltan Istvan, the likelihood of humans existing only as pure data-with no physical body on the cloud is very real & closer that we think. According to Istvan – as we approach death,
According to the Oxford Dictionary – A Miracle is….
An extraordinary and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore attributed to a divine agency.
Everyday we hear people referring to miracles. People being healed at Lourdes, historical stories from the bible about Jesus healing the blind and resurrecting the dead. But do miracles actually happen? Or are they simply coincidence?
In Buddhism we believe everything has a root cause, in order for it to exist. For example; nothing whether material, phenomena or living, can happen independently of other factors. So looking at miracles from this viewpoint, just because the occurrence isn’t explicable at this moment through natural or scientific law, doesn’t mean it’s a miracle and there’s no logical explanation discoverable through further research. If miracles do exist on the other hand, why don’t they exist in the form of everyone having enough to eat, or being given clean disease free water? Just a thought.
so…. What’s your take on Miracles? Can the dead be raised or the power of prayer heal all sickness?

On day 16 of the 17 Days in Colour we explore the highly magnetic colour of Silver. This colour is highly representative of feminine energy and all things cleansing.
In relation to health, the benefits of silver are numerous allowing the wearer of this colour the opportunity of natural internal detox. Silver is connected to the Solar Plexus or Manipura chakra because it is highly associated with birth, life and the cycle of rebirth. Additionally, it represents elegance, beauty and grace.
The esoteric/magickal benefits include, Female energy, cycles, rebirth, reincarnation, healing of hormonal imbalances, emotional stability, remove or neutralize negativity, intuition, dreams, psychic abilities and psychic workings. Because Silver has the most powerful healing benefits around hormone imbalance, women who are going through the menopause or any other issues surrounding hormones, would do well to wear this amazingly powerful colour.
Those whose favourite colour is silver, tend to be happy with the simple things in life unlike their gold counterparts. This give them time and space to work on far more important issues such as the home & family and surrounding themselves with beautiful things.
If you favour silver, you’ve probably already realised your gifts of clairvoyance and other similar gifts and you should most definitely share them for the benefit of others.
Silver is probably the most intuitive colour in the whole spectrum.

As we arrive at day 13 of our 17 days in colour, we come across the colour GREY. For some, grey is kind of non -descript but as a colour therapist I’d argue it’s one of the strongest peace keepers across the spectrum. See what you think!
Grey is a wonderful colour for neutralizing negative influences, erasing or cancelling situations, causing stalemates – in other words when you’ve ‘hit a brick wall’
Those who have grey as a favourite colour tend to be pragmatic in nature, seeing both sides of the argument but at the same time remaining neutral in opinions. Grey’s are great peacekeepers, they are the ones to find equilibrium and balance where all others can’t.
Grey is connected to the base chakra, and as this chakra provides our roots and our foundation for the rest of the chakra system, it is vital to have the base chakra in balance. The lesson of base chakra is grounding, along with the root chakra it provides a full inhabiting of our physical bodies as the embodiment of our connection to the element of earth. To cease existing primarily in our heads and inhabit our bodies. To cease grasping onto people, places and things as the source of our security. To find our own root support.
The healing power of grey is the reducing of high blood pressure, anxiety & stress amongst regulating the heart & assisting the respiratory system.

Well here we are on day 3 of the 17 Days In Colour blog. I hope you’re enjoying learning about the fantastic healing benefits of colour. Today is all about the colour YELLOW
Healing properties: Yellow helps strengthen the nerves and the mind. It helps awaken mental inspiration and stimulates higher mentality. If you suffer from agitation or any nervous condition, yellow is a great calmative. Wearing yellow brings a feeling of joy and inner warmth and darker in colour, yellow also soothes pains in the nerves for example (shooting pains)
Soak a yellow coloured crystal such as Citrine in water overnight, then first thing drink the water. This is an amazing cleanser for conditions of the stomach, liver, and intestines. If you wrap a yellow bandage around scarred tissue it will help it heal quicker.
Yellow is also linked with the solar plexus, or psychic center. If you’re feeling burned out or psychically blocked, yellow is an amazing colour for removing obstacles.
The magikal benefits of Yellow: Yellow is governed by the air element. The deities attracted by yellow are around trade, travel, knowledge and magick. So if you own a business it’s definitely beneficial to have lots of yellow around. Yellow is of course associated with the color of the sun, and so it is considered the key colour of life-force, vividity, vitality and energy.
