Yesterday something profound happened which got me thinking about my own existence in the world. Let me explain….
Whilst meditating, I entered a place of pure clear space (not unusual in meditation I know) but this time it was different. This time I became aware, that the space I entered also exists somewhere. It’s a little bit like standing by a vast occean and realising you and that occean both exist in the space called earth, which itself exists amongst other planets in the solar system and of course they all exist somewhere too. It got me thinking about the beginnng of time, where & how the world began and whether anyone really knows. One thing I know for sure – It didn’t start with God. How can I say this with absolute certainty? Well, for God to have created the universe, he would first himself need to exist somewhere….Do you see where I’m going with this? If God created the universe, where was he when he did it?
Do You Disagree? If So ..PLEASE LIKE SHARE AND COMNENT – Let’s have a conversation
Day 14 of the 17 Days in Colour and we’re going on to explore the colour black.
Black is known as an esoteric and highly magickal colour. Governed by the Earth element, black is actually quite grounding but mostly associated with darker aspects of life. In fact, black is one of the most misunderstood colour across the spectrum. It’s often associated with negativity, death, witchcraft and evil spirits. Whilst it’s true black is connected with deities of the underworld, it’s also extremely powerful in repelling & banishing evil and negativity. Black is an amazing protector colour, and if you’re feeling vulnerable in terms of health, home life or most areas of life, wearing black is an excelling way of protecting the spirit. Wearing black, helps us break free from bad habits/addictions, assists deep meditation & opens up deep unconscious levels.
If black is your favourite colour you’re most likely a deep analytical person who is hesitant to accept before checking things out. You hold deep spiritual beliefs, but more on the basis of realism – when you’ve gone you’ve gone. Black is really not associated with any one chakra but is neutral in its power.
A person who has an aversion to black may have fear for the unknown, or fear for the abuse of power. Desires to become free from all kinds of dependency, blockages, hindrances; to throw off shackles.
As we arrive at day 13 of our 17 days in colour, we come across the colour GREY. For some, grey is kind of non -descript but as a colour therapist I’d argue it’s one of the strongest peace keepers across the spectrum. See what you think!
Grey is a wonderful colour for neutralizing negative influences, erasing or cancelling situations, causing stalemates – in other words when you’ve ‘hit a brick wall’
Those who have grey as a favourite colour tend to be pragmatic in nature, seeing both sides of the argument but at the same time remaining neutral in opinions. Grey’s are great peacekeepers, they are the ones to find equilibrium and balance where all others can’t.
Grey is connected to the base chakra, and as this chakra provides our roots and our foundation for the rest of the chakra system, it is vital to have the base chakra in balance. The lesson of base chakra is grounding, along with the root chakra it provides a full inhabiting of our physical bodies as the embodiment of our connection to the element of earth. To cease existing primarily in our heads and inhabit our bodies. To cease grasping onto people, places and things as the source of our security. To find our own root support. The healing power of grey is the reducing of high blood pressure, anxiety & stress amongst regulating the heart & assisting the respiratory system.
Welcome to day 12 of our 17 days in colour. I really hope you’re enjoying the blog, and finding my posts beneficial. Colour is a really significant part of our lives but it lives welcome to day 12 of our 17 days in colour. I really hope you’re enjoying the blog, and finding my posts beneficial. Colour is a really significant part of our lives, but it goes much deeper than that. Colour has a huge impact both positively and negatively on our mental, physical & spiritual well-being. Throughout the blog we’ve explored a range of colours all with their own powerful healing properties and now let’s explore the earthy colour – Brown
Brown is the colour of grounding, earthiness and all things material. This colour is represented by the elements of Earth and is excellent if you’re pondering on decisions or if you’re trying to find some resolve when changes are happening. Wearing the colour brown in such situations can bring instant clarity and relief from the anxiety created. Brown also represents stability, alongside conservation, protection of household, family and pets, healing animals & finding lost objects. For anyone trying to make relationships solid, to increase decisiveness and concentration or wanting help in a financial crisis brown is such a powerful colour to wear.
People who have a tendency for attraction towards the colour brown, or practical and logical thinkers, with a preference for natural, tribal and primitive things, solidity and simplicity. Brown can be warm and cosy but also depressing but it’s guaranteed to keep you firmly grounded. Brown is associated with the Root Chakra. People who prefer the colour brown prefer the comforts and nature of life rather than the material and they love more than anything the outdoors – really hating the prospect of being stuck in one place for too long unless it’s stimulating.
As you know, for The next 17 days I will be blogging about the powerful healing benefits of colour. So now we are on day 3 and looking at the colour GREEN
Healing properties: Green is the color of Nature and the earth. It is balance and harmony in essence and possesses a soothing influence upon both mind and body. It is neither relaxing nor astringent in its impact. Green can be used for just about any condition in need of healing.
Green brings about psychological and emotional harmony and balance, whether it’s worn as clothing or accessories or if it’s consumed in food or drink.
Green is associated with the heart chakra because this is where our emotions usually take root and grow but it also affects blood pressure and all conditions of the heart. It has both an energizing effect and a moderating or soothing effect.
Green is excellent in the cure of hormonal imbalances because of its earthiness.
Being surrounded by or wearing the colour Green, harmonises the digestion, stomach, liver & gallbladder alongside having a healing effect on kidneys. The magikal benefits: Green has all the elements of the earth (dark green) and elemental water (blue-green). Nature, fertility, growth, rejuvenation, recovering, healing, harvest and abundance, prosperity, harmony, balance, peace, hope, mother earth, home, herbal magick, plants and animals all are associated with this amazingly powerful colour.
if green is your favourite colour, you are a person who craves inner peace. People linked with green are NOT social animals and love their own space. Usually those with a preference for the colour green will have an interest in natural healing or at least good healthy living.
Keep your eyes peeled for the next colour which will be BLUE.
