image Meditation works in exactly the same way as Antidepressant Medication but without the adverse side effects and brain fog. In fact, meditation brings about clarity of the mind – a freshness you may not have felt in a long time. According to HSE (Health & Safety Executive) 526,000 workers in the UK are suffering from work-related stress, depression or anxiety (new or long-standing) in 2016/17 & 12.5 million working days were lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2016/17. It  doesn’t take a genius to figure out that there’s something very wrong here. In today’s western society, we’re driven by target led incentives  leaving very little time for self care or home lives.  In brief, we’re working ourselves into the ground, for a lifestyle we never end up living, and a house we spend little time living again.  Meditation is no miracle cure, and it does take some effort and lifestyle changes but from personal experience, it can change your life completely and definitely improve your health.  Meditation doesn’t need to take hours of your life.  Just 10 to 15 minutes of quiet contemplation time can reduce stress and anxiety dramatically.
